In the following sections I share some projects I have been involved in.

TechpeopleCare (since 2018)

I am member of TEDECO, Technology for the Development and the Cooperation Group. Inside TEDECO, TechpeopleCare is the digital literacy expert workgroup. We try to drastically impact the reduction of digital illiteracy, helping to achieve the social objetives of governmental and non-profit institutions. In the group, my work is to develop technology solutions to the challenges the workgroups face.

Coowry (2014-2018)

For several years, from 2014 to 2018, I was the CTO of Coowry, a company that builds an end to end solution for micro-transactions where the internal currency is airtime. My team developped the Coowry systems: high scale systems that integrate with Telecom operators, Internet players, and people devices and applications all around the world. A project that is full of challenges: multiple user experiences, integration with partners, concurrency, distribution, fault tolerance, scalability, etc.

In Coowry, the development team used functional programming languages (Elixir and Erlang/OTP, Elm) and advanced testing techniques (property based testing) to implement most of the stack.
